Summer BBQ, burgers, buns and some minor burns

Last Saturday 22 June 2019, the charity we proudly support, Dandelion Time hosted their summer fundraiser.  The sun made a well-timed appearance, and all was set for a beautiful day.

After we successfully ran the food and drink stand at their winter fundraiser, team Endeavour was put in charge of manning the BBQ for the day.

On the specials board for the day; burgers, sausages and falafel wraps, all, of course, were cooked to perfection. There were a couple of minor burns along the way, fat splashing; the local first aider dealt these with within minutes and duties were resumed – thank you Lauren! Thanks to all the visitors that bought our BBQ’d delights, Team Endeavour raised £483.20 on the day.

“We are so grateful to you all for running the BBQ so smoothly and for being so efficient – it makes such a difference to us on the day to know things like that are under control!”

It was great to see so many other volunteers and wonderful stalls; home grown plants to buy, a live ukulele band, donkey rides, coconut shy and a huge children’s activity section. The crafts that could be purchased were all beautiful.  With such support, a lovely setting and fun atmosphere it’s no surprise the Summer Fair overall raised a fantastic £2846.10, including a £250 donation from our company owners, Ken and Nick.

Thanks to all at Dandelion who always make it such a pleasure to take part and are always so organised. We love our days volunteering for your unique and inspiring charity.  To learn more about Dandelion Time and how you can support them please visit their website.

Thank you also to CHEC printing for producing our beautiful embroidered aprons for the day.

And finally, thank you to Broadsigns for our fabulous BBQ price board.

What a team effort!
